How to navigate the tensions between academia and activism? For academics who are interested in ethically collaborating with communities or who are activists themselves, this workshop will explore approaches to thinking and engaging with community work. Paulina Pineda Severiano, Graduate Student in the Comparative Literature Department, will present her continuing work in Oaxaca, Mexico as a starting point for a broader discussion on the topic.
